The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a bright screen tablet computer which runs on Android operating system. The device is manufactured by Samsung and it was introduced 13th of February in the year 2011 in an event which was held in Barcelona. It is pretty comfortable and wide which means that typing can be a little difficult for some people that is if you are holding it in both of your hands. Many changes have been made in the device such as the speakers have been moved to the front of the tablet and let’s not forget that they are larger as well. The 2MP camera has been replaced by a VGA camera but on the other side the back camera is still the same as the previous model.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab offers a large 10.1 inch display. The device is slightly heavier than its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. The device feels good in your hands and gives you the premium feel. On the top sides of the screen you have 2 powerful speakers that produce great sound quality. On the top of the device you have the power button, volume rocker, micro SD port, IR Blaster and finally a head phone jack. On the bottom edge you will find the dot connector along with a microphone pin hole. The device has a VGA camera in the front and a 3MP at the back. The Device is slightly heavier than its predecessor as mentioned above but let’s not forget that its slightly thicker than its predecessor also. The screen is pretty responsive and applications launch quickly.
Software
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 runs on Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich. The original Tab 10.1 ran on Android Honeycomb. The UI is overlaid with Samsung’s TouchWiz interface. Samsung’s TouchWiz comes up with many custom apps including a built-in screenshot app and music hub and media hub etc. The most useful app is the task manager which allows you to kill running apps in the background easily, this is pretty useful when apps become unresponsive. The Galaxy tab 2 offers many smart features. One of them is the pop up play feature which allows you to watch high quality videos and text, email, browse the internet and stuff at the same time. The device also has shortcuts in the home screen for turning on Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and etc.
